Shelly Blu is a Bluetooth Low Energy based remote controller, which can control one or more Shelly devices wirelessly, and it offers very quick, instant local reaction. It is compatible with the Shelly Plus and Shelly Pro series devices, which are equipped with a Bluetooth chip. Shelly Blu button uses encryption in communication with these receivers.
You can use Shelly Blu Button to turn on/off your Shelly devices, or even activate Shelly Scenes (scenes, automations), so you can even control several devices at the same time with the push of a button.
Different types of controls can be assigned to different types of button presses (short, long, double and triple presses), so for example, with one press of the button you can turn on/off the light, with a double press of the button you can control the blinds, with three quick presses of the button you can turn on a fan, and with a long press of the button you can turn off all the lights.
It has local Bluetooth based pairing with the Shelly Plus or Pro devices, but connection to the Shelly cloud is also ensured via the Shelly Plus and Pro devices.
Thanks to its small size, you can even put it in your pocket so that it is always at hand.
The device works with a small battery and thanks to Blueooth Low Energy technology, it can operate up to 2 years with the same battery.
Shelly Blu also introduces the beacon function to the world of Shelly smart home devices: automations created based on the current position of the device enable a kind of presence-based control, and based on this, RSSI-based scripts and scenes can also be triggered, based on the location in the house.
Shelly Blu button also offers full compatibility with the new BTHome Home Assistant protocol.
And with the built-in "Find me" function, it can give a light and sound signal so that you can easily find it.
The Shelly BLU button is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
