Shelly PLUS i4 DC is the smallest WiFi wireless swicth input and scene activation device, a special version for DC environment! Suitable for a wide range of applications, it can be wired to alarm systems, doorbells and garage doors, keeping you always notified of their state.
Shelly PLUS i4 DC is Shelly's special DV version of Shelly Plus i4, which can be easily installed in DC environments, like mobile motor homes or any other DC setups. It is capable to detect switch from up to max. 4 DC switches and wirelessly control Shelly relays and sensors or other HTTP, MQTT or CoAP controlled devices via WiFi. It's a prefect choice to support wireless switching scenarios between a wired wall switch and a remote Shelly relay.

You can use it to wirelessly connect a wired switch with an electronic device (light or device connected to wall socket) contolled by a Shelly relay, installed even in a different location. Shelly PLUS i4 DC receives the switch signal from the wall switch, and forwards it via WiFi to any other Shelly relay, also supporting controlling multiple relays.
Shelly PLUS i4 DC has no embedded relay but is small enough to be installed virtually anywhere and shows the status of 4 inputs. The device is in one of the switches and can command other connected Shelly relays, sensors, or HTTP, MQTT or CoAP controlled devices. Opportunities are endless through discrete commands on the home network or scenes in the cloud.
Shelly PLUS i4 DC can work with up to 4 switches and configure multiple events to all switches. All switching modes can have a configured Scene function, as well as, direct-device-to device commands are via URL based commands available.

Just as in case of other Shelly smart devices, Shelly PLUS i4 DC connects directly to the WiFi router, it does not need a hub or gateway to work.
