The Sonoff TX Ultimate, also known as Sonoff T5 EU, is Sonoff's latest new product released in summer 2023: a smart light switch supporting Wi-Fi and eWeLink-Remote (Bluetooth) protocols. Like other Sonoff products, it connects to the eWeLink smart home system and can be controlled from the eWeLink smartphone app.
The smart light switch is paired to the local Wi-Fi router and can be controlled remotely from a mobile phone via the internet, as well as it supports scheduled ON/OFF, timer and loop controlled ON/OFF. The main new feature of this product version is that the entire surface of the front panel is touch-sensitive, which makes it very comfortable to use: just touch it anywhere and the light switch instantly turns on/off.
The elegant white touch front panel is replaceable, and the manufacturer offers several other front panels.
The switch is available in one, two and three circuit / touch button versions.
Also, the edge of the Sonoff TX Ultimate T5 EU switch has a LED strip that can be set to a number functions: you may configure it to show ON/OFF status, give visual feedback when switched, use it for ambient or mood light, (such as activate a party light mode), but you can also use the light to set a night light (with a scheduled on / off for it). (With the standard eWeLink app timers, you can not only time the circuits on the light switch, but also the mood light on the switch.) When the switch is turned on and off, it can also emit a sound and light signal (separately configurable), as well as vibrate, which can be set in the eWeLink app as desired, or even turned off when not needed. In the eWeLink app settings, you can also set a nightly "Do Not Disturb" period, when the on/off is always silent.
The status of each gangs (off / on) is also indicated by the LED light on the LED strip used for the mood light, the colour and brightness of which can be set separately for both off and on.
As with other Sonoff smart light switches, the built-in WiFi chip allows you to remotely control the on/off switching of the light switch, view the current on/off status and set a timed on/off thanks to the eWeLink app running on an internet-connected iOS (Apple) or Android mobile phone. You can also use the touch switch on the wall to switch the light on and off naturally, just as you would with a traditional touch switch.
Remote access can also be shared with family members. It's a perfect solution for smart control of any lamp or lighting. Use it to conveniently turn on or off the lights you want remotely, even when you're not at home. Used as a burglary prevention solution set to simulate presence: you can program it to turn on or off on a timer to make the outside world think you're at home.
Just as other new Sonoff products, it is equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and Bleutooth gateway functionality, so it can be remotely controlled from Sonoff Bluetooth wireless devices (e.g. Sonoff S-MATE module, Sonoff R5 switches).
The Sonoff Ultimate TX T5 switches can also be set to momentary switching mode (with the inching feature), and can be set to switch off after a pre-set time after switching on, i.e. they can also be set for "staircase timed switching".
The two-gang and three-gang switch versions of Sonoff TX switches can be set in the app to interlock mode, so when when one gang is switched on, the other circuits switches off automatically, so that they can be used safely for e.g. shutter control or to control another 2-way motors.
