This is a 3rd generation FULL HD 1920x1080px resolution outdoor camera is Sonoff / eWeLink smartphone app compatible, comes with a white plastic housing, and with IP66 outdoor waterproof capability. Use it to keep an eye on any Sonoff/SmartWise devices controlled through eWeLink smartphone app (e.g. garden-gate, garage entrance, etc.) or to keep the desired area under surveillance.
Due to the built-in IR (infrared) sensor (maximum 10 meters range) it operates even at night time in complete darkness, by infrared lighting objects can still be nicely seen in black and white.
Real-time camera view is displayed in eWeLink app at 'camera' menu, or add it to other smart devices paired with eWeLink app to get the camera view over any turn ON / OFF toogles (or other controls).
This version is not only WiFi accessible, but you can also operate it in a wired network (LAN) with a standard cable (RJ-45)!
The camera support SD card recording, memory cards fit with maximum capacity of 128 GB (not included). The camera not only sends an alarm to you smartphone but even automatically records the video to the memory card if motion activated alarm is set in eWeLink app. However the device is not be used as a security camera, it is designed and built as a special eWeLink app compatible outdoor web camera, for surveillance of objects and area.
Record a video or make screenshots to your smartphone via eWeLink smartphone app. The recordings are stored on your smartphone not on the memory card.
Rotate your smartphone and camera view is displayed in full screen too.
Live video stream of the camera will reach your phone in P2P (direct connection) mode, without the cloud. Depending on the available internet bandwidth, you may choose from SD and HD video stream modes in eWeLink app:
- HD mode: 10 FPS, 1920*1080px
- SD mode: 10 FPS, 640*360px
A massive plastic metal mount adapter is included. You can use it to fix the camera to the side wall in the desired position.
Pairing the R3 camera version with eWeLink app is even easier than R2: now it works with scanning a QR code in a few seconds. All you need is to show a QR code displayed by eWeLink app to the camera, and the rest is done automatically.
The camera also supports the RTSP protocol, so it can be connected to NVR systems, not only with the eWeLink app!
