Modules:

The YLFWD-0008 is the base unit of the Yeelight Cube Light system, providing connection to smart home systems via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocols. It also powers the attached modules.

The YLFWD-0005 is an additional LED spot module (sold separately), with up to 5 modules attachable to the base unit. These YLFWD-0005 modules connect to the YLFWD-0008 base unit, allowing a maximum of 6 cubes in total (1 base + 5 add-ons). Add-on modules do not work independently and always require the YLFWD-0008 base unit for operation.

The modules of the Yeelight Cube Light system physically connect by stacking them on top of each other. Each module (base unit and additional LED cubes) is equipped with special contact connectors on the top and bottom, allowing energy and data transmission. Simply stack the modules, and the connectors automatically align, creating the energy/data connection. The modules are usually secured with a magnetic mechanism, making assembly easy and keeping the cubes stable.

Maximum number of modules: The base unit can connect up to 5 add-on modules.
